manage resource info

Nov 05, 2012 at 15:15

We just uploaded 58 resource description to our server. In explorang the information provided by the web interface y found that It seems that some identical information (organizations or persons) are registered as different objects.

We understand that looking at "Manage Resources" -> "Manage organization objects" we obtain the list of organizations related in some way with all our resources. The point is that we see our organization more that one but we do not see any reason for such dupplication. Even looking at the resource description there no difference about among all occurrences of our organization name.

The final effect is that it indicate more organizations that actually indicated in our resource descriptions.

Is there any explanation to this situation?

Best,

Jorge

    Dear Jorge,

are the shared entities of your LRs (persons, organizations, documents and projects) really identical? “Identical” means that all attributes have the same values and that there are no attributes set in one entity which are not set in the other. The entity name, for example, is not a sufficient distinction criterion.

Could you please verify that your shared entities are indeed identical? If they really are, then we might face a bug.

    Best,

    Christian

    Dear Christian,

I found some minor differences in the attributes given to the same organizations and/or resources. We will correct all these discrepancies. I will inform you about the new results.

    Best,

    Jorge
