user feedback on the reader-friendliness (layout) of the META-SHARE catalogue

Jun 19, 2012 at 13:21

Hi,   UIB/META-NORD asked a third party resource provider to check our uploaded metadata for their resource.   She gave a remark on the layout of the catalogue: [my translation from Norwegian to English] "In terms of layout: The gray text colour currently used is a little difficult for me to read. I think it would be an advantage if it is completely black? I would also have the fields on the left side in black, so that the white text is easier to read."   I have thought of the same when creating screenshots from META-SHARE for presentation purposes, actually. Maybe there could be a button (which must be easy to find!) that presents the data in some kind of "pure text", without the colour layout?

Thank you for your comments. Actually, there is a specific task scheduled for improving the "look and feel" of the resource view. These improvements will be included in the next major release.

    Best regards!
